Our History The roots of Polimak Space trace back to the rich industrial heritage of Polimak, a company founded over four decades ago with a focus on advanced solutions for the bulk material handling industry. From its earliest days, Polimak earned a reputation for engineering excellence, delivering equipment such as screw conveyors, rotary valves, loading bellows, and pneumatic conveying systems to industries ranging from cement and chemicals to food and mining. As Polimak expanded globally, supplying custom-engineered solutions to some of the most demanding industrial environments, the company consistently invested in R&D, digital technologies, and automation. The result was not just robust hardware but also intelligent systems that could monitor, optimize, and adapt to the flow of challenging materials in real time. In the early 2020s, as the world turned its attention to sustainable space exploration and permanent off-Earth settlements, Polimak recognized a compelling need that aligned perfectly with its core expertise: material handling on the Moon, Mars, Asteroids, and beyond. While many space organizations focused on rovers, landers, and payloads, few addressed the challenge of transporting, storing, and conditioning the lunar regolith—the abrasive, ultra-fine soil that holds the key to building infrastructure and extracting vital resources on the Moon. This recognition led to the formation of Polimak Space, a dedicated division aiming to bridge terrestrial bulk solids engineering with space resource utilization (ISRU) demands. Since then, Polimak Space has become an active contributor to the space resources ecosystem. We have developed modular technologies for regolith excavation, conveying, preheating, and storage. Our participation in major events like Space Resources Week and Roundtable, involvement in ESRIC’s Startup Support Program, and collaborations with leading institutions and consortia have positioned us as a key enabler of lunar logistics.

From thermal energy storage modules for surviving the lunar night to precision delivery systems for water, oxygen, and metal extraction units, our systems are being tailored to work in vacuum, withstand thermal extremes, and operate with minimal maintenance. Polimak’s industrial heritage, combined with a forward-looking space vision, has laid the foundation for our next frontier: building the infrastructure that builds the Moon. From Dust to Destiny At Polimak Space, we believe that lunar dust holds the blueprint for humanity’s future beyond Earth. What may appear as lifeless grey soil is, in fact, a reservoir of resources—oxygen, metals, water, and energy—that can enable permanent lunar presence and fuel deep space missions. Our mission is to transform this raw, abrasive regolith into usable materials through smart handling, precise delivery, and integration with ISRU technologies. By turning dust into structure, power, and life-support systems, we are helping shape the foundation of a sustainable lunar economy—one bucket of regolith at a time. What We Do Modular Regolith Delivery Systems Enabling precise, efficient handling of lunar soil across excavation, conveying, and processing stages. Thermal Energy Storage Solutions Utilizing regolith’s insulating properties to store heat during lunar day and release it through the night. ISRU Integration Supporting end-to-end operations for water, O₂, and volatile extraction, 3D printing, and thermal processing. Ground-to-Orbit Technology Transfer Adapting decades of proven industrial equipment—such as conveyors, fluidization devices, and loading systems—to meet the harsh demands of lunar environments.
